New batch of PGDM begins at Apeejay School of Management with orientation programme

The Apeejay School of Management (ASM), Dwarka, recently commenced its 29th batch of Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) students at an inaugural event. Executive Director O.P. Khanduja welcomed the batch by highlighting the importance of time management in their regular schedule.

Erhardt + Leimer India Managing Director Seshadri Rajaram, the chief guest, emphasised the role of empathy as a prerequisite in the field of management. He also elaborated upon risk assessment as a pivotal element to meet life and work goals.

The guest of honour, DHL Vice President and Global Head Shashank Jagirdar, explained the global importance of supply chain industries and the various challenges faced by them during the Covid-19 pandemic. He urged students to understand the ground realities of the industry to perform better as professionals.  He further motivated them to practice truthfulness and honesty at the workplace.

ASM Dwarka also organised a session with Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Ltd Vice President – (Appliance Business) Sachin Phartiyal, an ASM alumnus. He was welcomed by Dr. Ishita Adhikari, Associate Professor HR and Head (CRC) at ASM, who highlighted alumni as critical stakeholders in building ASM as an institution of eminence.

Phartiyal spoke about PGDM being a transformational journey for a student. He emphasised that students need to identify their professional and personal goals in order to design an action plan. As a concluding thought, he named acceptance and adaptation as pillars of a successful career in management.
