Her son has been at this school right from the beginning. The parents chose this school because of the repute Apeejay Education enjoys pan-India. “I am from Kolkata and have familiarity with the Apeejay School name. When I came to Delhi, we heard positive reviews about Apeejay School, Greater Noida, and that it was ranked No 1 back then,” Shweta Venaik, whose son Advik Soni is now in Class V, shared.

Do you feel the school’s reputation matters to parents?
Every parent wants their child to achieve something meaningful in life, and for children, the real role models are the students who pass out from the school. When younger children see their seniors doing well, they feel inspired to follow the same path. That is why I believe a school should continue doing well at all times.
How has Advik’s journey in the school been so far?
His journey has been quite good. I have seen him progress in studies, extracurricular activities, and inter-school competitions. He has always been encouraged and pushed to do better. This reflects in his behaviour, his confidence, and the way his academic skills have developed over time.
Have you seen the school helping him become more independent?
Definitely. We encourage that at home as well. My husband and I always motivate him to complete his homework on his own. Over time, I have noticed that he takes his studies very seriously and tries to do most of his work independently. This gives us confidence that he is able to understand things on his own. That understanding also comes from the teachers.
As working parents, how important has the school’s role been in his growth?
Both my husband and I have very busy schedules. I work with SBI, and my husband works with Indian Oil. We do not have work-from-home facilities, and our work hours are long, usually from 8:30 in the morning until 8 at night. Since Advik spends six to seven hours in school every day, the basic building of his character comes largely from the school.
What changes have you noticed in him over time?
He has developed a value system and a growing sense of responsibility. He understands what importance to give to different things at the right time. If he has exams, he knows he has to study. If he has participated in an extracurricular activity, he understands that he has to practise at home as well.
How have the teachers supported his overall development?
The teachers have supported him well. They take interest in the children’s activities and monitor them closely, which is very good. His skills have been honed well, and I have seen growth in him.
