Prayrit Midha, who is about to complete his MBA from Apeejay School of Management (ASM), has bagged a job offer from Deloitte through campus placement; he will be working as a tax consultant. While the interview was tough, Midha reveals his professors guided and helped him prepare well.

Excerpts:

What made you opt for an MBA? Why did you pick ASM?

Opting for an MBA was a critical decision as I wanted to advance my career opportunities and was keen to learn management skills that would help me in the future. I considered various options but chose ASM because of the affordable fee, good location, and good placements as compared to other B-schools.

Tell us about the overall experience at ASM.

The overall experience at ASM was good. Our faculty has been very supportive and helped us at each step. We had the three trimesters online but that didn’t hinder our studies as the faculty made the classes interesting and comprehensible.

What kind of industry exposure did you get at college?

The college helped us to know about the industry in and out — the alumni of ASM, the faculty, and the guest lectures helped us a lot in learning about the industry.

How did the placement cell help in preparing for the job interview?

The placement cell conducted various training sessions to make students placement ready. And they were supportive throughout the journey. My mentor Dr Kamal Kishore, dean, ASM, was very helpful and supportive. His knowledge about the industry is vast which helped me during my interview process at Deloitte.

How has ASM shaped your personality?

ASM has elevated my personality by boosting my self-confidence and making me industry-ready through its various initiatives.
