‘My kids are never afraid of a stage performance. Apeejay Model Town teachers inculcate such strong confidence in every student’

Mrs. Harpreet Kaur Madhok is an entrepreneur in the field of home decoration. She is the founder of the company Nikhaar Home Décor. Her husband Mr. Harmeet Singh Madhok is a real estate businessman. They are proud parents of children Pramaanth Singh Madhok and Avargun Singh Madhok, class 1 and 7 students at Apeejay Model Town respectively.  In an informal interview, Mrs. Madhok applauds the school staff for being ever receptive to the feedback of parents and getting their queries solved instantaneously. Why did you choose Apeejay Model Town for the admission of both your children?

My husband is an alumnus of Apeejay Model Town. He studied there till class 5 and then shifted to a hostel school. Apeejay Model Town is a big brand and it is one of the most reputed schools in Jalandhar and in the nation as well. So, we went ahead with Apeejay Model Town for the admission of both our children.

Please tell us a bit about Avargun and Pramaanth and take us through their progress at school?

Avargun is the current house captain of Shivalik house at school. He has a lot of confidence and has a keen interest in all the extra-curricular activities. He is his class teacher’s favorite student. Avargun likes Math and science a lot.

Pramaanth is very young, so he doesn’t have a favourite subject. He likes all of them equally. Both my children enjoy sports. They are enrolled in the sports academy at school. They play lawn tennis.

Are the teachers engaging well with the students?

In Apeejay Model Town the teachers do so much of hard work that one can simply see the results in the students. The students have such a deep confidence in them. I can see this with regard to both my sons. They are never afraid of a stage performance. They don’t feel shy or any kind of inhibition. The teachers have built such a good level of confidence in all the kids.

The teachers are really engaging well with all the kids. I would like to thank all the teachers in the school. Also, they are all so cooperative. They always acknowledge our problems and get it solved immediately. Sinia ma’am is a very nice lady and is instrumental in solving the queries of the parents in her able guidance.

What is the best thing about the school?

We can communicate easily with the teachers including the Principal. They are always available for the parents. Unlike other schools the teachers here receptively listen to the parent’s queries and feedback. The school is giving the best possible education to the children.

How has the experience of the online classes been for Avargun and Pramaanth?

The online classes were very good. The teachers covered all the activities alongside the academic part. The school also organised the annual day function, award ceremony and even the student council selections within the online mode of education. We never felt that the school was not functioning physically. All school activities were going on smoothly.  

Now that the school has reopened, are both the children happy to be back at school?

They are extremely happy to be back at school. They enjoy going to school physically every day.
