Muskan Kaur, a 6th semester Bachelor of Design student at Apeejay College of Fine Arts (ACFA) in Jalandhar, is a very promising student in her batch. Her mother Mrs Davinder Kaur says, “She did not start out so smoothly, but with the diligent support and guidance of the ACFA professors, she went on to excel tremendously in her course.”

Let us learn more about Muskan’s progress as we speak to her mother. Read edited excerpts:

How has Muskan’s growth been at Apeejay College of Fine Arts?

Superb! She is skilled at  3-D design work, creating mind boggling work via autoCad app. She has mastered it and she is also brilliant at sketch work now. There are a lot of assignments and projects given to the students. The environment is very uplifting at the college and the students are always busy learning something new.

Are the teachers doing justice to the students?

Yes, all the progress of the students is due to them. My daughter keeps praising Rajni ma’am who teaches her interior designing. She tells me that Miss Rajni is an excellent teacher, who keeps guiding the students until they master that concept.

What about the activities and fests in the college?

Plenty of competitions at ACFA. Muskan participates in all the art competitions and often gets prizes. Recently she went to Chandigarh as well for a competition.

You see growth in her personality?

Humongous! She did not know even the ‘A’ of interior designing and now she is at Z. She did not know anything about drawing but now she is very good. Lots of practical work and projects and this helps in her growth.

How did this huge progress happen?

She was always curious and interested in interior designing but she was not at all good in drawing and sketching. But the teachers worked very hard on her. Kalsi sir in the first year and then Rajni ma’am now, it is thanks to their support and hard work that she has improved so much. Now, she enjoys drawing and has turned it into her strengths.
