Bhamini is a kindergarten student at Apeejay School, Faridabad, Sector-15. Her father Dr Sanket speaks to us in a quick parent interview and reveals how the interactive teaching techniques, patience levels of the educators and innovative approach the school uses, are turning their child into a confident young learner.

Yes, completely!

Yes but not a lot. In Nursery, she was a bit shy. I would ask her daily if she made any friends and she never answered me. But now in KG, she has definitely made progress and has two friends about whom she constantly talks about.

I don’t think she finds any subject boring. She liked Math a lot until last year. Numbers would fascinate her. But now it is Hindi that has taken her heart. She loves the varnamala, the way one writes the letter, the curvatures, she finds art in it.

Currently, she feels reluctant to do Math. She finds the greater than, lesser than questions a bit tough. She would instead love to write letters in her English and Hindi homework.

Yes! Here’s an anecdote. The Math teacher has taught her the story of a greedy crocodile who loves to eat the bigger number. She loves that story and now does the greater than, lesser than questions with a relative ease. But in her case, she has to like the concept first and then she feels control over the subject.  It is only then that she is confident otherwise she procrastinates a bit.

All the teachers in the school are very experienced. They are very patient and are doing a great job. I have two daughters, one is Bhamini and the other is Samanvi, who is in Nursery. I have observed that the teachers are so patient and considerate for the young learners.

She is doing very well. She is quite smart and is enjoying life at the school. I am happy with her progress.

Oh yes! She recently won the apple race in the school and she looks forward to Fridays, which have the yoga day and also for Thursdays, when it is the splash pool party.
