Dr. Poonam is PhD scholar in the field of Computer Science. She is currently teaching at Mahila Mahavidyalaya Jhojhukalan in Haryana. Her children Yashika and Bharat are class 1 and 3 students respectively at Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri. In a brief interview, Dr Poonam highlights what makes Apeejay the perfect choice for the education of her children. Edited excerpts:

Why did you choose Apeejay School Charkhi Dadri ahead of other schools for the admission of both your children?

The students study with a free mind here in this school. They enjoy their studies and are not burdened with unwanted pressure. The school’s approach is to nurture the spirit of creativity among students.

Please tell us a bit about Yashika and Bharat and take us through their progress at school?

Yashika is excellent in English. She loves to read fairy tales a lot. Bharat, on the other hand, is interested in Hindi and likes to draw.  They are both doing very well at school.

Are the teachers engaging well at school?

The teachers are very good in person and are also teaching in a great manner. Yashika’s favourite teacher is Anita ma’am. She teaches her English. Bharat likes all the teachers, all are his favourite.

What is the best thing about the school?

The school ensures an environment of proper learning for the students. In the pandemic, other schools had delayed online classes but at Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri the online classes were executed wonderfully right from the very beginning. I like that a lot. They started with the online classes from the first week of April 2020 soon after the lockdown was imposed. The online classes were just like the physical classes at school.

Now that the schools have reopened, are both the children happy to be back at school?

They are happy and are enjoying going to school. My daughter was especially excited to rejoin the school.
