Meraki, the much-awaited annual carnival at Apeejay, is an event that students and their families eagerly await throughout the year. Organised right after our periodic assessments, it provides a refreshing break from our daily academic routines. The school management and teachers put in tremendous effort to make this vibrant and bustling school carnival a success. Preparations begin months in advance, with the organising committee, including senior class students, dedicating themselves to the event.

The school playground, where the carnival takes place, is adorned with big posters and various craft items. Numerous stalls are set up to entertain visitors, featuring interesting games and delectable food options.

This year’s Meraki was particularly exhilarating for me due to the range of interesting and innovative events organised by the committee. Activities such as spin the wheel, lucky draw, dance with your partner, regional dance competition, fashion show, ramp walk, and singing competition showcased the diverse talents of the students. However, what I enjoyed the most were the thrilling rides and games, from the towering Ferris wheel with spectacular views to the rolling roller coaster inducing giggles and screams.

For me, Meraki is more than just a carnival; it symbolises the fun times spent with friends that will become cherished childhood memories.

Meraki holds a special place in the heart of every Apeejay student, offering the opportunity to engage in different activities and learn new things outside the box. Many carnival activities involve both parents and students, fostering parent-child coordination and providing a wonderful opportunity for parents to connect with their children.

I would like to extend my congratulations and thanks to the Meraki organising team for arranging such a wonderful event that will stay in our hearts forever as a childhood lore.
