Knowing the value of skill training from an early age, Apeejay College of Fine Arts (ACFA) in Jalandhar has been organising a ‘Certificate Enhancement Certificate Courses’ for the students of class 12. As part of the 3-week training programme, the College recently conducted a session on sketch and paint for budding artists, where they learnt about the elements and principles of art.

Students enhanced their knowledge about the different techniques of painting and drawing and how to show their expression through art. The students were pretty enthusiastic about learning portrait making and landscape painting.

Dr Jeevan and Ms Amandeep from the Department of Fine Arts taught them that every person is an artist and can create art works, they just have to find that ability in them and nurture it with the proper guidance. The faculty members also helped the students enhance their aesthetic sense and learn how to look for beauty in their surroundings and in their day-to-day lives and create art. They learned about 2D and 3D pencil shadings and how to draw precise facial expressions.

All the students attended these classes regularly and enthusiastically. They were very happy, and in a few days they had created many artworks under the guidance of their teachers.

Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra, expressing her views on this occasion, said that every student has potential and they just need to find and nurture it, and here at Apeejay, we make sure to unwrap the best version of students. She wished all the students best of luck for their future endeavours.

Students experienced a transformative journey filled with artistic exploration and personal growth. Armed with newfound skills and a deeper appreciation for the world of art, they set forth on their future endeavours with optimism and zeal.

The success of this session stands as a testament to Apeejay College of Fine Arts’ unwavering dedication to nurturing talent and fostering a vibrant culture of artistic excellence. With each stroke of the brush and every pencil sketch, students continue to paint their dreams onto the canvas of life, guided by the enduring principles instilled within the halls of Apeejay.
