The Joint Entrance Exam  (JEE) is one of the toughest exams in India. Countless students give the exam each year but it is only the select few whose hard work, correct approach and discipline sets them apart from the rest.

Let us know about 3 such achievers from Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg, Jalandhar, whose results speak for themselves.

Lavanya Chandel attained an outstanding 99.42 percentile at the JEE Main Sssion 1 exam. What is more exceptional than her superb percentile score is the fact that she is a medical student. Speaking about her preparation schedule the achiever mentioned, “I studied 5-6 hours in a day but I was consistent. I also focused on the importance of quality over quantity, ensuring that each study session was productive and purposeful.”

She further spoke about her achievement as she mentioned, “Even though I didn’t focus my preparation specifically on the JEE exam, being a NEET aspirant, I decided to take the exam as a means to enhance my problem-solving abilities through practice, given my academic focus as a medical student.”

Lavanya attributes the guidance from school as a big part of her success. She stated, “The guidance and support from my teachers and my parents were invaluable during my preparation days. They consistently addressed my doubts and urged me to pursue the exam, even though I’m focused on a medical track.”

Next in line is Aaryan Suri, who scored an exceptional 99.36 percentile. Aaryan says along with the teachers, NCERT textbooks played a huge role during preparation. The achiever stated, “Throughout my preparation, I preferred NCERT textbooks for theoretical parts of Chemistry and Physics. For the numerical portion, I understood the concepts being taught in school and then practiced past year question papers related to those topics.”

Every student has a strong hold in one subject and another subject that needs a bit more effort. For Aaryan, Physics came naturally to him but it was through sheer hard work and attention to detail, that he turned  Math into a forte. Speaking about his mental preparation he mentions, “My school has constantly lifted my morale when I needed that confidence boost. Apart from the classroom teaching, all teachers guided me, especially Khanna sir, who encouraged me to keep calm and remain stress free even in tense situations during an exam.”

Gurcheet Singh Thind also achieved a super percentile of 99.35 in the JEE Main 2024 Session 1 exam. He aspires to pursue Computer Science or Electrical engineering as a branch and aims for top IITs like IIT Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati and Chennai.

Speaking out of his experience, Gurcheet offers some words of wisdom for the next batch. He says, “My advice would be to devote around half your study time to Maths as it is almost always the lengthiest and toughest section of the JEE Main examination. Study consistently throughout the year, be focussed and always ask questions in case of any doubt.”

Truly, these students have kept the school motto alive as they have soared high through their determination, persistence and vision. The school wishes them the best as they prepare for the upcoming examinations.
