Apeejay School of Management, Dwarka, recently hosted a transformative workshop titled “How to Write a Research Paper”. This workshop, conducted online, aimed at enriching the research capabilities of its attendees, focusing on the pivotal theme of Digitisation, Innovation, and Sustainability.

The key resource person for the workshop was Dr. Pritha Dutta, an internationally renowned speaker and Assistant Professor at Willamette University. Dr. Dutta, with her extensive academic experience, including roles at Pace University and the University of Massachusetts Amherst, brought a wealth of knowledge to the session.

Participants in the workshop were not only provided theoretical insights but also engaged in practical demonstrations. Dr. Dutta explored essential strategies for effective research paper writing, offering hands-on exercises on indispensable tools like Consensus and Elicit for literature review. These exercises empowered attendees with practical skills, crucial for conducting comprehensive literature reviews and producing high-impact research papers.

Dr. Dutta’s expertise and practical approach resonated well with the attendees, offering valuable tips and techniques. She also reflected on the significance of effective research paper writing while highlighting how research papers serve as the cornerstone of academic discourse. She emphasised the importance of mastering the art of clear, concise, and impactful writing for effective knowledge dissemination.

Further, Dr. Vernika Agarwal, Associate Professor at Apeejay School of Management, the coordinator of the workshop, stressed the importance of such initiatives in fostering a culture of research excellence. “Events like these not only equip participants with essential skills but also inspire a spirit of inquiry and innovation,” she emphasised.

The workshop concluded with enthusiastic testimonials from participants. Students expressed their appreciation for the practical insights gained and Dr. Dutta’s approachability.
