A second-year student at Apeejay School of Management (ASM), Siddharth Singh presented a paper at the Sixth International Conference in Communication, Devices, and Networking (ICCDN 2022) organised by Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology.

The ASM student’s paper on the topic: “Natural to Artificial and Now to Emotional Intelligence” was well-received by the attendees. He shared the platform with his professor and mentor Anuj Kumar, assistant professor, ASM, along with scholars Dr Gautam Bapat, Dr Nishu Ayeede, and Dr Kuldeep Bhalerao.

“It was a great feeling to present a paper at the international conference,” Siddharth, who is specialising in Marketing and HR said. “Knowing how to write a good research paper is a valuable skill that will serve you well throughout your career. Talking about the support he received from his mentor, Siddharth added, “Professor Anuj Kumar helped me in this whole journey and motivated me to write a research paper. He was my source of motivation. I gained a lot of insights and knowledge about research writing.

There is a lot that one needs to be mindful of while writing a research paper. “Once you understand the method, research papers really aren’t as difficult as they seem. Sure, there’s a lot to do, but don’t be daunted. Just work on it step-by-step, piece-by-piece, and give yourself plenty of time. Take frequent breaks, stay organised, and never ever forget to cite your sources,” the student shared.

In fact, he is looking to write more research papers in the future. “It will help me understand and learn more about exploring research topics. It will also help me ideate and articulate better,” he added.
