Commencing an academic session with a spiritual ceremony is significant, setting a tone of positivity, focus, and commitment. Such rituals invoke divine blessings, ensuring that the year ahead is filled with wisdom, unity, and inspiration. A sacred hawan is a time-honoured tradition that purifies the environment, fosters harmony, and strengthens the resolve of educators as they embark on another year of shaping young minds.
Apeejay Svran Global School, Faridabad, embraced the beginning of its new academic session with a sacred havan ceremony, invoking divine blessings for its educators. The event, held on March 31, 2025, within the school premises, was attended by the entire teaching faculty and administration, creating an atmosphere of reverence and unity.
The ceremony commenced with the chanting of Vedic mantras, resonating through the space and filling the air with a sense of peace and sanctity. Teachers, dressed in traditional attire, participated wholeheartedly, offering prayers and oblations to the sacred fire. The rhythmic recitation of mantras, combined with the warmth of the fire, symbolised the purification of the mind and soul, aligning everyone with a common purpose for the year ahead.
The havan ceremony began with a collective prayer for success, peace, and knowledge, followed by the distribution of prasad, which signified blessings and prosperity. The event set a positive tone for the academic year and strengthened the bond among educators, reaffirming their commitment to providing an enriching and nurturing environment for students.
The entire ceremony was a poignant reminder that education is not just about books and exams but about building character, resilience, and a lifelong pursuit of wisdom.
