Why did you pick Apeejay over other schools?

Rohan studied in Indore till class 2. After that, I got transferred to Jalandhar. I sought inputs from my relatives and colleagues in a bid to select the right school for Rohan. I got a near unanimous recommendation for Apeejay. The icing on the cake was that the location of the school was near our chosen place of residence. Without further ado, we got Rohan enrolled in class 3 and he has been flourishing since then.

How has your experience been till now?

Parents are extremely particular about the future of their children. If they are not happy with a school they will search for other options in the market. Rohan has been studying in the school for more than 7 years now. This long association is a testament to our trust in the school. Rohan has made tremendous progress over the years. During the initial period, he was a bit mischievous and it was difficult to manage him, but due to the concerted efforts of his teachers he became sincere and independent. Even academically, he is doing well. Rohan scored more than 97% in class 9. The best part is that he never felt the need to take tuitions as he has confidence in his ability. This is a reflection on the quality of teaching at Apeejay. Rohan also keenly participates in extra-curricular activities. Recently, Petroleum Conservation Research Association, under the aegis of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas of Government of India, conducted an inter-school essay competition called ‘SAKSHAM’. Rohan was selected among the Top 50 students in the country and was awarded Rs 2,000 as cash prize.

Have the teachers of Apeejay lived up to your expectations?

They have performed beyond my expectations. To begin with, Rohan was not an extraordinary student in studies. He has his flaws like many other students, but teachers have played a key role in unravelling his potential. Students are like diamonds, a teacher’s role is to polish them and display their beauty. The teachers of Apeejay are expert at bringing out the best in children. They teach so well that Rohan has never sought our help for studies. All his concepts are crystal clear. Still, if he struggles with something, he instantly gets in touch with his teachers to seek clarification. They are available even after school hours. Even during online classes, teachers taught with full dedication and commitment. Though, I am happy that the schools have now reopened in Punjab.

Share with us some memorable moments related to school.

I felt proud every time Rohan has won a competition or done well academically. But there’s a moment I hold really dear to my heart. I was pleasantly surprised when Rohan bagged the second prize in the Music competition in class 8. I never knew he had a knack for singing (laughs).

“Teachers of Apeejay are not bound by duty hours. If a student gets in touch with them after school hours, they respond in a jiffy. Teachers of Apeejay are like ‘Gurus’ who through their valuable teachings are scripting a bright future for students.”
