Reading is a discount ticket to everywhere.”

Reading as rightly said can take you round the globe and beyond without a ticket. Reading can cultivate your dreams and thoughts and lets you to grow wings of imagination.

From point of view of a student, to relieve oneself from the hectic extra classes and exams, reading is the key to soulful relaxation. A good book read even if for some time will put the spell of engrossment over you and you feel calmer too. If this reading is done daily, it contains numerous benefits.

Firstly, reading is the storehouse of free and easy knowledge. There is no type of knowledge that cannot be gained by reading. Reading not only provides knowledge about different topics like politics, sports, art, culture, but even different products on sale. It helps boost our general knowledge by reading newspapers daily.

Daily Reading also helps to improve our vocabulary, reading and writing skills. Often books have new words whose meanings are unknown to us and by knowing their meanings, we can satisfy our curiousness and learn grammar and spelling in a fun way. It improves our reading skills as by leafing through pages daily our pronunciation moves on to the better side. Our writing skills ascend as new thoughts and interesting ways of writing in our paged friends can be incorporated in our own articles. Browsing books daily can also improve our memory as we have to remember the story’s plots, subplots and relations of the characters as we read on further.

Not only reading daily improves our mental skills but also our social skills. For instance, by poring over an interesting book on a particular religion, one gets to know what should not be done while visiting their religious places or while talking to them. When this opportunity comes, the person will remember and do the right thing which will not hurt the person or disrespect the religion and in this way you can even create a good impression of yourself.

Daily leafing through the pages of a good book can even better your physical skills and promote good health. By cutting down a part of the screen time daily and using it for reading, one can not only get the mentioned benefits but it also provides a healthy alternative to screen time and glasses come at a later stage.

Daily thumbing through the sheets can also improve sleep quality. A good book read before bedtime blocks out the anxiety and stress of the day and helps us to have a peaceful sleep.  Thus, from waking to sleeping, reading shares its countless benefits and plans a peaceful day for us every day, as rightly quoted by somebody, “Think before you speak. Read before you think.”
