‘I changed my elder son’s school due to my younger child’s positive experience at this school’

Selecting the right school from among numerous options can, at times, be tough. This is because it comes with a multitude of considerations and a fair share of hesitation. It is not just about choosing the school that is reputed, it also involves looking at the caliber of the teachers of the school and how approachable they are; what kind of opportunities the school provides when it comes to extracurricular activities; the facilities like swimming pool, a large playground, and sports and the curriculum followed to name a few.

“To choose the appropriate school for my child, I weighed the pros and cons and finally chose Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park branch for my younger son. When I saw the positive impact of this school, I shifted my elder son also here,” Jyoti Jindal, a mother of Kairav and Tanmay studying in the nursery and class IV, respectively, said.

In an impromptu interview, the mother says that her kids are not just academically supported but are emotionally connected to the school community as well.

What made you choose this school for your children?

My elder son spent five years in a different school and we could not see any progress. One of my friends told me about Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park. I came to know about the comprehensive facilities, quality education, and dedicated teachers here. To test the waters, I enrolled my younger son (Kairav) first. After witnessing his positive experience, I decided to transition Tanmay to Apeejay as well.

How has been your kids’ experience at this school so far?

It’s been a year since my kids enrolled in this school and it has been great for both of them till now. Kairav being the young and naughty one, never refuses to attend school.

How has your experience been with this school?

Today, I am 100 per cent satisfied. At first, I was hesitant about enrolling my elder child into a new school as it would introduce him to a new environment, teachers, and friends but soon he was able to immerse himself into the environment easily. Seeing that both my children have adjusted well makes me happy.

Are your kids involved in any extracurricular activities?

They are not involved in Sports Guru Club but Tanmay is pursuing calligraphy lessons, dance, music, and skating. Kairav is passionate about short tennis, participates in group discussions, and enjoys dance, among other activities.

Any recent achievements?

Tanmay has started to participate in different competitions. He recently secured 97 per cent in his mid-terms which is noteworthy. Kairav has improved his writing skills lately and is now more involved in writing and interacting with people.

Any apprehensions after shifting your elder one?

Initially, I had apprehensions. On the first day, I requested his class teacher to provide some extra attention and time until he got used to the new environment. Surprisingly, he displayed such flexibility that the concept of ‘new’ didn’t linger in him for long. In such less time, Tanmay settled in effortlessly, building strong connections with teachers and friends.

What is the teaching methodology?

The teachers of this school do not promote rote learning, they ensure the kids understand the concepts thoroughly. Regular group discussion sessions, activities like art, music, and school functions act as a plus for students to learn and grow holistically.

Will you recommend Apeejay School?

I would wholeheartedly recommend this school.  I recently recommended the school to my neighbour that she must consider enrolling her child in this school as well.
