Achieving placement in a top multinational corporation (MNC) requires a well-structured roadmap and systematic strategies. And the first step in this systematic planning is to set clear career goals and target MNCs. In addition, aspiring candidates are required to build a strong foundation through education, focusing on relevant courses and certifications. Moreover, a comprehensive resume highlighting skills and experiences aligned with MNC requirements is the key. While continuous learning and adaptability are crucial, developing soft skills like communication and teamwork also play a vital role. MNCs also shortlist candidates who have completed internships in MNCs to gain practical experience.

Thus, realising the importance of preparing graduates to face the challenges of the real job world along with providing them with a systematic direction to opt the best career path, School of Engineering and Technology (SOET) at Apeejay Stya University (ASU) recently conducted a webinar themed, “Roadmap & Systematic Strategies for Top MNC Placements”. The faculty coordinator for the virtual session was Dr Sonam Raheja, Associate Professor at SOET.

Co-Founder & CEO of Innoovatum Shaukat Kotwal was the key resource person for the workshop. Mr Kotwal is a celebrated placement consultant who is on a mission to revolutionise engineering education in India.  He is also an engineering mentor and career coach who has contributed to the professional and personal success of lakhs of engineering students as well as IT professionals across India via his legacy technology workshops and corporate productivity sessions.

The interactive webinar was attended by more than 50 students in which Mr Kotwal discussed various strategies with the participants for securing placements in top MNCs with highest industry packages. He also shared the names of a few free software courses on technology, which budding engineering professionals should learn and implement to get good placements.

He further guided students to work on some of the key areas until the offer letter was received. Mr Kotwal also shared a couple of smart tricks for job search.

Another 1st year SOET student Liannka Dadi mentioned, “The session guided and made us aware about the ample opportunities and laid the perfect roadmap for our future.”

In the end of the session, Dr Amit Goel, Professor at School of Engineering and Technology, extended his appreciation to Mr Kotwal for delivering the wonderful session and making the students aware of good strategies and routine to be followed for getting good jobs.
