There is no doubt that being a teacher is one of the greatest gifts of life. Teaching is a noble profession. It deserves an equal amount of love and respect as any other profession in the world. Teachers’ Day in India is celebrated every year on September 5 to mark the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. He was the former President of India, an erudite scholar, philosopher and also a Bharat Ratna recipient. As an educationist, he was an advocate of edification and was a distinguished academician and above all a great teacher. Teachers’ Day is a reminder of the role that teachers play in nation-building by guiding and educating the future minds of the country.

They help us to become good human beings, a better member of society and an ideal citizen of the country.” He further added, “Teachers’ Day is celebrated to acknowledge the challenges, hardships, and special roles that teachers play in our lives.
