The overall culture and environment of a school are crucial in shaping a child’s personality and values. Parents want to ensure their child is in a positive and nurturing environment. Hence, choosing a school is a significant decision that requires careful consideration and research to find the best fit for a child’s educational journey. Parents often feel the weight of this responsibility, contributing to the daunting nature of the task.
Parents also understand that the quality of education a child receives can significantly impact their future academic and professional success. They want to ensure their child receives the best possible education to set them up for a bright future.
For this they spend considerable time and energy to look for the perfect school. Meet Gaurav and Honey Bassi whose children are students for Apeejay School, Model Town. “When it was time for my older child, Yatharth (now in class VIII), to start his formal education, I had looked at several schools. When I visited Apeejay, I was very impressed with everything that I saw. So, I enrolled my son here,” Honey said.
Excerpts from the interview.
Why did you choose Apeejay?
As I mentioned before, my son is studying at the Model Town branch. When it was time for my daughter, Lavisha (now in class II), it was natural that I would choose Apeejay for her as well. She began her schooling from Apeejay Rhythms Kinderworld and is now in the Model Town branch of Apeejay.
How was the teaching during Covid times?
I would say that it was really very good. The teachers ensured that the children got proper learning and that there was no gap in gaining knowledge just because they were studying from home. The same was true for my daughter who was in the nursery back then. The teachers were good and extremely supportive.
I am happy to say that both my children are good academically. My son has no issues with any of the subjects and does well in the class. My daughter is still young but for her age, she is managing well

How is the teaching methodology for both your children?
It is very good and I am happy with the way the teachers are teaching. For my daughter, the class teacher is Isha Mehta ma’am. For my son, there have been a couple of them since they keep changing. But as of now, Saloni ma’am has taken over the charge temporarily.
How are the parent-teacher meetings?
They are held regularly. I get good feedback from the teachers for my children. And the best part is that if I have a query they are addressed at the earliest.
Would you recommend this school to other parents?
Yes, definitely. It is a great school. The teachers are good and both my children are well-settled here. As long as they are happy, I am happy.
How is the infrastructure at the school?
Everything at the school is good. The school does organise events and activities from time to time for the kids. But I would really want the school to introduce sports. While we have raised our concern, the weather Gods keep playing spoilsport – either it is too cold or it is raining. My son loves sports and loves to participate in all sporting activities. If there were games at school, it would be perfect.
How is the learning for your children?
I am happy to say that both my children are good academically. My son has no issues with any of the subjects and does well in the class. My daughter is still young but for her age, she is managing well.
