Apeejay Svran Global School, Faridabad, Sector-21D, organised an enriching In-Service Training (INSET) programme for its teachers, centred on the theme, The Role of a Teacher in a Changing World. The thoughtfully designed session offered educators an opportunity to reflect on the changing dynamics of education and renew their commitment to shaping confident, compassionate, and responsible learners.
The programme began with an engaging discussion on the evolving role of teachers in contemporary classrooms. As education continues to move beyond textbooks and examinations, teachers are encouraged to embrace new approaches that make learning more meaningful, relevant, and engaging for students. The session highlighted experiential learning as an essential element of modern education, enabling children to connect classroom concepts with real-life situations through exploration, participation, and reflection.

The key focus of the training was the importance of creating a congenial and conducive learning environment. Teachers discussed ways to build classrooms where every child feels valued, respected, heard, and cared for. The session reinforced that kindness, empathy, patience, and mutual respect are not only personal values but also the foundation of meaningful education. Educators were reminded that a supportive teacher can make a lasting difference in a child’s confidence, emotional well-being, and willingness to learn.
The programme also drew inspiration from the visionary ideals of Dr Stya Paul, Founder-Chairman, Apeejay Stya and Svran Group. The teachers reflected on the institution’s enduring commitment to man-making and nation-building through education. They were encouraged to nurture students not only for academic achievement but also as thoughtful individuals who demonstrate integrity, resilience, compassion, and a sense of responsibility towards society.

Adding a refreshing and interactive dimension to the day, teachers participated in a range of reflective activities. A self-introspection questionnaire encouraged them to pause and consider their strengths, aspirations, and professional goals. The mindfulness bookmark-making activity brought together creativity and calmness, while a vibrant photo collage allowed teachers to share memorable experiences and meaningful moments from their summer break. These activities fostered self-awareness, mindfulness, and stronger connections among colleagues.

The programme concluded on a joyful and rejuvenating note with an energising laughter yoga session. The room soon resonated with smiles, laughter, and positivity, creating a sense of togetherness among the participants. A melodious song further added warmth to the occasion and left everyone feeling refreshed and motivated.
The INSET programme reaffirmed Apeejay Svran Global School’s belief that empowered teachers create empowered learners. By learning, reflecting, and growing together, the school continues to prepare educators to guide students towards a brighter and more humane future.
