Apeejay College of Fine Arts (ACFA) in Jalandhar is a pioneer in providing practical exposure to students through industrial visits. Thus, recently, 40 students from the PG Department of Commerce and Management visited to Shital Industry. This visit proved to be an invaluable learning experience, offering insights into the production processes, internal auditing, financial management, and retail operations of the Industry.

During the visit, students had the opportunity to witness firsthand the production processes employed by Shital Industry. Students got immersed in learning the practicality of each process in addition to understanding the internal auditing procedures, maintenance of account books, and handling of payroll. Additionally, officials from Shital Industry extended internship and employment opportunities to the students, providing them with a glimpse into potential career pathways in the industry.

The visit not only enriched students’ understanding of industrial operations but also highlighted the importance of bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application. Dr. Neerja Dhingra, Principal of ACFA, expressed her gratitude to Ms. Vani Vij, the Director of Shital Industry, for facilitating the visit and offering students an invaluable learning opportunity.

Dr. Dhingra further emphasised the significance of industrial visits in providing students with practical exposure and enhancing their understanding of real-world business operations. She underscored the importance of witnessing the production process firsthand, as it enables students to grasp the practical implications of their theoretical knowledge.

Moreover, Dr. Dhingra commended the efforts of Ms. Garima Arora and Mr. Amandeep Thakur for their guidance and support in organising this industrial visit. She encouraged them to continue fostering such opportunities for students in the future, recognising the value it adds to their overall learning experience.

This visit was instrumental in broadening students’ horizons and equipping them with practical skills and knowledge relevant to their field of study. It served as a testament to Apeejay College of Fine Arts’ commitment to providing holistic education by integrating theoretical learning with real-world applications. Through such initiatives, the college aims to empower students to excel in their chosen professions and contribute meaningfully to the industry.
