Apeejay Newsroom had the pleasure of speaking with the proud mother of Myra Midha, a bright and talented 6th-grade student at Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg, Jalandhar. Can you tell us about Myra’s involvement in extracurricular activities?
Myra is a vibrant participant in dance and basketball, along with excelling in academic pursuits. She actively engages in poetry competitions, art and craft contests, and recently secured the 3rd position in the Inter House Solo Dance competition.
How do you perceive Myra’s academic performance and growth?
Myra has consistently demonstrated academic excellence, earning special honours at the graduation ceremony. I’ve witnessed her transformation from a young child to a mature and sensible individual, thanks to the guidance and teachings provided by Apeejay’s educators.
How did Myra adapt to the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic?
Despite the difficulties of the COVID-19 phase, Myra adeptly coped with the transition to online classes. She remained attentive and even reassured her peers about the importance of their teachers’ guidance, showcasing her considerate nature.
Could you shed some light on Myra’s personality and areas where she excels?
Myra possesses a balanced personality, albeit sometimes displaying shyness, especially when it comes to addressing concerns with her teachers. However, she shines in her confidence and observant nature, traits admired by her peers and teachers alike.
How do you manage screen time and digital distractions for Myra?
While we emphasise limiting screen time, the allure of the digital world is undeniable. We restrict her usage to approximately one hour daily, ensuring a healthy balance between academics, extracurriculars, and leisure activities.
Do you supplement Myra’s education with additional tuition?
As of now, Myra has not required any external tuition. She grasps concepts well at school and seeks assistance from me when needed.
What advice would you give to parents considering Apeejay School for their children?
I wholeheartedly recommend Apeejay to fellow parents and colleagues. The school fosters a comfortable learning environment, prioritising holistic development over excessive academic pressure.
