Constitution Day: Justice, Liberty, Equality and Fraternity

On this occasion, students of Apeejay Stya University actively participate in a poster-making competition on the theme ‘India: Mother of Democracy’



On the occasion of Constitution day, National Service Scheme (NSS) and the Rotaract Club of Apeejay Stya University (ASU), Gurugram, recently organised a poster-making competition on the theme ‘India: Mother of Democracy’, wherein students participated with enthusiasm.

Posters on Fundamental Rights, Preamble of the constitution, along with Fundamental duties were placed on the notice Boards of the University to make students aware of the preamble, which is known as the soul of our constitution.

During the event, student volunteers of NSS & Rotaract Club of ASU pledged to protect the soul of the constitution. They shared their pledge on their respective social media handles with the #ConstitutionDay2022.

For poster-making competition Rtr. Albert C.J., 3rd year student pursuing fashion design, was declared the winner of the competition. Describing about his poster, Rtr. Albert said, “In this poster, I have tried to show India with democracy where the people have the freedom to do anything they love.”

At the same time, Rtr. Medha Madhuri bagged the 2nd position in the competition and Rtr. Kirti Jha and Rtr. Rashmi Patel was jointly declared 3rd in the competition. Dr. Manpreet Singh Sehgal, Associate Professor at School of Engineering & Technology was the judge of the competition. 

Dr Vijay Kumar, Associate Professor at School of Education and Coordinator of the NSS & Rotaract Club said, “Constitution is the Magna Carta of India and we all dedicated ourselves to the constitutional values through the event organised on Constitution Day 2022.”

Lastly, participants thanked the University, NSS & Rotaract Club for providing them the opportunity to express themselves in various ways through organising relevant competitions and events engaging students in the campus and making it vibrant.
