Charkhi Dadri School celebrates India’s diverse culture through special assembly

Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri, recently conducted a special assembly for the students of class 7 on the topic “Culture of India”. The event was a celebration of India’s diverse cultural shades, with students showcasing their talents and representing different states of India through various cultural presentations.

The assembly began with an invocation to the supreme Lord through a prayer. A student then delivered an informative speech, highlighting the rich and deep nature of Indian culture. The diversity in India’s food habits, traditions, beliefs, social customs, attire, language, festivals, make the country’s culture unique and distinguishable. India has always been considered a culturally rich country, and this assembly was a testament to that.

Further, the students recited poems praising their country. Their renditions were filled with love and appreciation for India, its beauty as well as culture. The audience was captivated by the students’ performances.

The highlight of the assembly was the dance performancesduring which the students put on an energetic and entertaining show, with each performance representing a different state of India. The choreography, rhythm, synchronisation, and presentation were brilliantly executed. All the student’s hard work and dedication were evident in their performances.

Rajashree Basak, a student of class 7, stood out with her beautiful classical dance performance, while other class 7 students Hash and Darshil left everyone spellbound with their Bhangra performance.

While expressing her views, class 7 student Rajashree Basak , “It’s a feeling of pride to know about our nation’s culture that makes it stand apart. When I presented a classical dance, I felt overwhelmed. I was in an ecstatic mood after being appreciated by one and all.”

Another student of class 7, Sunidhi, highlighted, “I was as curious about the programme as I was going to anchor it. While the programme was under planning, I was surprised to have a look at the long list of interesting items related to dances, songs, and other art forms of India. From start to end, it was an enriching journey for me.”

Meanwhile, Ananya Singh, another student of class 7, expressed, “Through an interesting quiz, I was able to learn about the unknown facts about my nation. Moreover, while singing, I felt a patriotic fervour in my veins. I am glad that we learned how to work in a team in collaboration with all.”

The assembly was highly appreciated by everyone, and the performers’ enthusiasm was contagious. Their spirits were high, and they seemed determined to return to the stage with even more fun and enjoyment next time. In the concluding part of the assembly, everyone stood up for the National Anthem, marking the end of a successful and meaningful event.

This special assembly provided a platform for students to showcase their talents and celebrate India’s rich cultural heritage.
