Apeejay students secure top spots in Indian Classical Dance exam

Apeejay College of Fine Arts students showcase exceptional result

The students of Apeejay College of Fine Arts from Jalandhar have once again demonstrated their exceptional talent and dedication through their stellar performance in the University examination, held by Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU). This year, the students of MA (3rd semester) in Indian Classical Dance Kathak achieved top positions, bringing pride and honor to their institution.

Leading the pack was Riddhima Nagpal, who scored an impressive 380 out of 400 marks, securing the first position in the university exams. Her outstanding performance is a testament to her hard work and passion for Kathak. Following closely, Navpreet Kaur earned the second position with 378 marks, while Mrinal Thakur captured the third position with 375 marks.

The success did not stop there. Ragini secured the fourth position with 370 marks, and Prishita Kakkar followed with a fifth-place finish, scoring 367 marks. Janvi Chandra stood sixth with 361 marks, Anubha Sachdeva secured the eighth position with 352 marks, and Palak Sharma rounded out the top performers by achieving the eleventh position with 327 marks.

Dr. Neerja Dhingra, Principal of ACFA, extended her heartfelt congratulations to all the students who secured top positions. She praised their dedication and encouraged them to continue striving for excellence in all their future endeavors. “Your hard work and commitment have brought great pride to our college. Continue to aim high and make your parents and our institution proud,” she remarked.

Dr. Dhingra also took the opportunity to acknowledge the significant contributions of the faculty members in the Dance Department. She expressed her gratitude to Dr. Ranjana, the Head of the Dance Department, as well as Dr. Santosh Vyas and Dr. Mickey Verma, for their relentless guidance and support. “The excellent results of our students reflect the dedication and expertise of our faculty. Your mentorship has been instrumental in shaping their success,” Dr. Dhingra added.

The remarkable achievements of these students underscore the high standards of education and training at Apeejay College of Fine Arts.
