‘Apeejay School Faridabad lays a good foundation for students, enabling them to excel’

Mrs. Neeta Gupta is the headmistress at AVN High School in Faridabad. Her younger son Arpit Gupta is a class 10 student at Apeejay Faridabad while her elder son Arshit Gupta is an alumnus of the same school.

In an informal interview, Mrs. Neeta Gupta mentions how the teachers of the school went way beyond their six hour schedule to ensure the development of the students. Edited excerpts:

Why did you choose Apeejay Faridabad for the admission of both your children?

Actually, it was 20 years back, when we were searching for a good school for Arshit’s admission. We found that Apeejay Faridabad has a lot of experience in the field of education. We filled the form and got to know that they focus on every aspect equally, be it academics, sports or extra-curricular. So we enrolled our eldest son there. Then after six years we decided to enroll Arpit in the same school as well. The decision was based on Arshit’s emotional growth at Apeejay Faridabad. We had a great experience with the school.  We were very satisfied with all the facilities we were getting at the school. The teachers, infrastructure, everything was great.

Please tell us a bit about Arpit and take us through his progress at school?

He is doing very well. He has been a recipient of the Scholar Badge award over the past many years. Both my children have received the prestigious award every year. Both of them are Super-Scholar achievers. Arshit cleared JEE main entrance exam and was selected at DTU in Delhi. It was because he had a good foundation at Apeejay School, Faridabad. They provide a good exposure to the student and focus on developing their thinking skills. The student is confident to explore his/her strengths through the numerous activities organised by the school.

Arpit has very good speaking skills. He has conducted several stage events and was highly appreciated for that. My elder son also has good speaking skills. It is all due to the practice that they receive in the classes at school.

Are the teachers engaging well with the students?

Yes. They are teaching in a really very good manner.  During the lockdown, the teachers did not have a six-hour job, they were teaching 24/7. They were available on call for the parents.  I’ve always appreciated their efforts. The teachers put their 100% into teaching the students.

What is the best thing about Apeejay School, Faridabad?

I think it is the all-round development of the students. They are taking care of everything. They focus on all aspects, not just academics. It is important that a child should have confidence and thinking skills in order to face society effectively. The school is doing a fine job in this aspect.

How has the experience of the online classes been for Arpit?

It was very good. He had 100% attendance for two years. A student never feels that he/she is wasting their time by attending the online class. The teacher would teach them very well and the students enjoyed the class a lot.

Now that the schools have reopened, is Arpit excited to return to the classes in offline mode?

Yes, he is very happy and excited to go to school. He was eagerly waiting for the school to reopen.
