Cleanliness is the first step towards a healthy and disciplined life. Keeping this in mind, Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri, organised a meaningful and engaging celebration for the students of nursery to Class II, commemorating World Hygiene Day along with Labour Day and Principal’s Day. The event aimed to instill the values of cleanliness, gratitude, empathy, and respect among young learners through interactive activities and thoughtful discussions.

The programme began with an enlightening address by Ms Navneet, who spoke about the significance of World Hygiene Day and the importance of maintaining personal and environmental hygiene. Through simple examples and engaging interaction, she educated the students about healthy habits such as regular handwashing, cleanliness in daily life, and keeping their surroundings neat and tidy. Her session encouraged children to understand that hygiene is essential for a healthy and disciplined lifestyle.

Adding meaning to the occasion, the school also observed Labour Day to acknowledge the relentless efforts and dedication of the support staff. Students expressed their gratitude through heartfelt gestures and messages, recognising the dignity of labour and appreciating the contribution of every worker who helps maintain the smooth functioning and cleanliness of the school environment. The initiative sensitised students towards developing empathy, kindness, and respect for all professions.

The celebration also included Principal’s Day, dedicated to honouring the visionary leadership and unwavering commitment of Principal Dr. Vineet Vasishtha. Teachers and students conveyed their appreciation through thoughtful activities and messages, acknowledging his continuous efforts towards creating a progressive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment for all.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from the young learners, who actively engaged in activities and discussions related to the themes of hygiene, gratitude, and leadership. The celebrations not only created awareness among students but also helped reinforce essential life values at an early age.

Addressing the gathering, the school Principal, Dr Vineet Vasishtha appreciated the collective efforts of the teachers and students in organising the programme successfully. “I am delighted to witness our young learners actively engaging in celebrations that promote essential life values. Such initiatives play a vital role in shaping responsible citizens. Let us continue to nurture these values in our daily lives,” he said.

The event concluded on a positive and inspiring note, leaving students with valuable lessons that will guide them towards becoming responsible and compassionate individuals.
