At Apeejay Dwarka campus, the commitment to live a healthy and better lifestyle is growing stronger with each passing year. Therefore, once again, recognising the importance of creating a better tomorrow,  together Apeejay School of Management (ASM) and Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication successfully organised the ‘Mini-Marathon 2023 – Run for Health’ at the vibrant Apeejay Dwarka campus.  The title sponsor for this event was Max Healthcare and Max Labs.

This year’s marathon, which marks over a decade of Apeejay Dwarka campus’ marathon tradition, garnered an enthusiastic response from schools, colleges, residential societies, and health enthusiasts alike. The event witnessed an impressive turnout of participants eager to embrace fitness and promote well-being. Attendees from various educational institutions and neighboring communities joined hands to make this marathon a resounding success. Undergraduate students added vigour to the event, fostering greater connectivity.

On a winter morning, all the participants donned their event T-shirts and embarked on a spirited 7 km run across the campus, supported by well-placed water stations that ensured their hydration needs were met throughout the route.

The event concluded with refreshments, fostering camaraderie among the runners and enhancing the post-event experience. This marathon not only emphasised the significance of health and fitness but also showcased ASM as well as AIMC’s commitment to community engagement and well-being.

Sharing his delight,  Tushar, a PGDM first-year student expressed, “I am delighted to have achieved victory in my inaugural marathon. I attribute this success to the unwavering support of my mentors and friends, who motivated me to participate during a challenging period in my personal life. Their encouragement served as a pillar, enabling me to surpass my perceived limits. The respective winners in six different categories were awarded with medals.”

Further, Deputy Director Dr. Etinder Pal Singh  emphasised, “Throughout our continued engagement in this annual event, our focus this year remains centered on advocating for a health-conscious lifestyle. Our primary aim is to foster a mindset that prioritises well-being, intending to generate a meaningful and positive impact through the execution of this marathon event.”

Highlighting how there is a growing consciousness among people to remain healthy, Prof. Sajal Mukherjee, Director of Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication mentioned,  “The mini marathon unfolded seamlessly, witnessing a remarkable display of enthusiasm from participants spanning residential communities, colleges, and schools across various categories. Aligned with the overarching theme of “Run for Health,” it is gratifying to observe a growing health consciousness among individuals. The success of this event further motivates us to sustain our commitment to organising similar initiatives in the years ahead.”
