Switakshi, an MBA student with Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering Technical Campus (AIMETC), is a simple girl yet with big dreams. And when not busy with her academic activities, she loves to execute her hobbies like watching K-dramas, listening to music and dancing. The young CA aspirant follows a simple mantra for living a happy life – “Apna har din aise jeeyo jaise ki aakhri ho” . She also believes in the idea of celebrating small achievements. Recently, she wrote an interesting article on Things one must do in their 20’s. When asked what’s in her bucket list, she mentioned the adventures she has been having in her life. Read edited excerpts:

What has been on your bucket list in your 20’s?

My bucket list is never ending, but the some important ones are:

a) I wanna provide free therapy to those people who are struggling in their 20’s.

b) Become financially independent

c) Commit to lifelong learning

d) I wanna travel to South Korea

Anything adventurous you did that is memorable? Anything you wish to experience?

I am a mountain lover and have been exploring the mountains. The most adventurous thing so far is, I trekked to Triund in Himachal Pradesh. I also want to experience solo traveling once in my life.

Any regrets?

I left my oratorship, going for social gatherings and hanging out with friends. It’s been almost 3 years now and not being proactive makes me dull and monotonous. However, I am pursuing my CA and such sacrifices are imperative.

Dreams that you still wish to pursue?

a) I want to become a  Chartered Accountant

b) I want to open my restaurant

c) I want to become motivational speaker because I think I have persuading power to convince people

One of the things you have mentioned is ‘Live every moment – have no regrets. Life is short!’. How can individuals practice this?

According to my past experiences, I can say that 20’s are a special period of life for everyone. People who are in their 20’s shall not restrict themselves to just one thing. But they should live every moment to the fullest. You should not overthink that they are being judged by society –  just do what you wanna do! Identify and allow those people in your life who are genuinely with you. Live every single moment happily because in the end it will all become stories. Capture every special moment in your phone so that no scope of regret is left.

Share how you are making your life a memorable journey

My mantra for living a happy life is “Apna har din aise jeeyo jaise ki aakhri ho.”  I always celebrate small achievements. The 20’s are a phase which lets you experience the good as well as the bad in life. If you are heartbroken, you must learn how to overcome that. Make special friends, spend time with your family. Just live life without any fear of judgment. Have the knack to learn new things. Have a strong standpoint. Be happy and spread that happiness around the people.
