A school that is a hallmark of excellence delivers consistently on the promises it makes. Such a school provides the best possible education to each student and the results in turn speak for themselves. This is what happened in Apeejay School, Rama Mandi. Class 10 students of the school added five stars to their alma mater by securing a fabulous result in the secondary level Board examinations, held recently.

School topper, Sukhmanjot Kaur Mattu scored an outstanding 97.8% in the exams. The newly inducted medical student who is currently confused between choosing pediatrics and orthodontics stated, “I did not follow any schedule for my preparation. I just studied until I was satisfied with my efforts and felt confident that I was preparing well.”
She added, “I focused on the syllabus since the beginning of the session. I read many books and solved numerous questions from the previous year’s question papers. I am very happy that I got the highest marks in science, a perfect 100.”
Advising the next batch of students about the benefits of preparing early, the school topper mentioned, “Don’t wait for the exams to come. It is better that you start preparing while you have the time. Tuitions and everything else is fine but it is self-study that gives a better grasp of all topics. So focus on that!”

Raghav Gupta, the second highest scorer secured a remarkable 97%. He said, “I did not make a fixed timetable but I had a list of particular topics to cover in a day. I made a to-do list of topics. I followed that religiously and covered the entire syllabus and even revised it 4-5 times”
He also mentioned how his teachers would encourage and support him for the exams, he said, “The school teachers cleared all my doubts. Even if I contacted them a little late in the evening, my teachers would send me voice notes explaining the concepts and solving my doubts. I am truly indebted to them. Also, Principal ma’am Mrs. Sangeeta Nistandra motivated us a lot and gave us students tips on how to stay focused during exams.”
Raghav further added that students must curtail their screen time to maximise the productivity of the study hours. He said, “I would simply tell the next batch of students to not pressurize themselves. Focus on concept clarity rather than practicing more questions. Believe in yourself, you know everything, just have self-confidence and finally, reduce your phone time and gaming time as well.”

Simarpreet Kaur secured an amazing 95.6% making her the third highest scorer in the school. Speaking about her study schedule she said, “I used to study for 3-4 hours at the start of the session. Gradually it became 5-6 hours and finally 7 hours during the final exams. I am very thankful to my Math teacher Priyanaka ma’am. She inspired me a lot and helped make Math my favourite subject. I scored 93 in Math and 97 in both SST and Punjabi.”
She also added, “I have chosen commerce with Math as my stream now. I think chartered accountancy is the profession everyone is expected to pursue after studying commerce but I want to break that stereotype. I want to get into a male dominated field such as entrepreneurship. There is a high level of unemployment in our country and I want to eradicate that.”

“Congrats! Keep believing in yourself and work hard. More achievements are yet to come! Your success is really well deserved. I congratulate you all on your brilliant result!”
