Apeejay School, Faridabad organised an insightful and interactive career counselling session for the students of Classes XI and XII across all streams, to help them make informed decisions about their academic and professional futures. The session provided students with an opportunity to reflect on their interests, strengths, aspirations and potential career pathways.
The session was conducted by Mr. Praveen Khanna, Life Mentor, Government-Certified Business Communication Specialist and Certified Training & Development Manager, who brought valuable expertise and practical insights to the interaction. Through an engaging approach, he guided students on the importance of understanding themselves before choosing a career.

Mr. Khanna highlighted that making the right career choice requires more than simply following popular trends or the expectations of others. He encouraged students to identify their individual strengths, interests, skills and areas of passion, while also considering their long-term goals and aspirations. The session emphasised the importance of self-awareness as a foundation for making meaningful and informed career decisions.
The interaction also exposed students to the wide range of career opportunities available across different fields and streams. They were encouraged to look beyond conventional career options and explore emerging areas that align with their abilities and interests. The discussion helped students understand that career planning is a gradual process that involves research, reflection, goal-setting and continuous learning.

The session was highly interactive, with students actively participating in discussions and sharing their thoughts and queries. The practical guidance offered during the programme helped them gain greater clarity about the factors they should consider while planning their future.
For students at the senior secondary level, where academic choices and career decisions often play a significant role in shaping their next steps, the session served as a valuable platform for reflection and guidance. It encouraged them to approach career planning with confidence, purpose and a positive mindset.
The career counselling session concluded on an enriching note, leaving students motivated to explore their potential, evaluate their options and work towards their aspirations with greater clarity. The initiative reflected the school’s commitment to supporting students not only in their academic journey but also in preparing them for successful and fulfilling careers.
