Young minds, bold visions

Apeejay School, Noida, hosted the Tata Building India School Essay Competition 2026–27, providing students of Classes VI–XII with an enriching platform to express their ideas, perspectives, and aspirations for the future of India. 

The competition was organised in two categories, Junior, comprising students of Classes VI-VIII, and Senior, for students of Classes IX-XII. Participants were given a stipulated duration of one hour to articulate their thoughts on the given theme. The essays were written on official barcoded essay sheets, ensuring a structured and standardised evaluation process.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across the two categories. With creativity, originality, and clarity of thought, the young writers presented their perspectives on India’s journey and reflected on the role of the youth in shaping the nation’s future. Their thoughtful responses highlighted their ability to analyse contemporary ideas, develop meaningful arguments, and communicate their vision effectively in writing.

The competition also encouraged students to look beyond academic learning and engage with larger questions concerning the nation’s growth and progress. Through their essays, participants explored ideas around a stronger, more progressive India and reflected on how individual contributions can collectively create meaningful change.

Following the completion of the competition, the entries will be evaluated by the Tata team. The school-level winners will subsequently be recognised with medals and merit certificates for their outstanding efforts and performance.

Overall, the competition served as a valuable avenue for students to think critically, write creatively, and engage with the larger vision of nation-building. The event not only celebrated their writing abilities but also encouraged them to become thoughtful young citizens who can contribute meaningfully to India’s continued growth and development.
