Meet Ms Pooja Arora, mother of Hrehaan Arora, a student of Class VIII at Apeejay School, Model Town. As a proud parent, she reflects warmly on her son’s learning journey that began in 2014, when he was just starting school. Over the years, she has witnessed Hrehaan grow steadily in confidence, curiosity, and academics. Grateful for the supportive school environment and dedicated teachers, the mother believes that the guidance and opportunities provided by the school have played an important role in shaping her child’s overall development.
What were the key factors you considered while choosing a school for your child?
One of my priorities was convenience and safety. I wanted a school that was close to our home so that dropping and picking him up would be easier, and I preferred not relying on bus transport. Another important factor was that my husband is also an alumnus of Apeejay Education, so there was already a sense of trust and familiarity with the institution. That legacy played a big role in our decision.
How has your experience with the school been so far?
I am very satisfied with the school. The overall curriculum and the environment are very good. The teachers are supportive and always ready to guide the children whenever they need help. Everything. The teachers and the school environment have contributed a lot to my child’s learning, confidence, and overall development. It has been a very positive experience for us.

How would you describe Hrehaan as a learner?
He is a curious child. He is not shy about asking questions and always approaches teachers whenever he has a doubt. I appreciate that the teachers are patient and supportive, which encourages students like him to keep learning and exploring.
Does he participate in co-curricular activities?
Yes, he actively participates in many school activities. He has taken part in events like Model United Nations (MUN), science exhibitions, debates, and other school programmes. Whenever there is an opportunity, he is always eager to participate.
How do you support his studies at home?
I believe parents should mainly provide guidance and moral support. In the early classes, parents play a bigger role, but as children grow, they become more independent. My approach is to encourage him to read chapters carefully, understand the concepts, and highlight important points so that revision becomes easier during exams.
What role do you think parents play in a child’s growth?
Parents play a very important role by being supportive and approachable. I always ensure that my child feels comfortable discussing anything with me. Open communication helps build trust and confidence.
