Young champs take the court at the Inter-Apeejay Short Tennis Tournament

At Apeejay Schools, education is viewed as a holistic journey where academics and co-curricular pursuits go hand in hand to shape confident, responsible, and well-rounded individuals. Upholding this philosophy, Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park, proudly organised the 12th Inter-Apeejay Short Tennis Tournament, dedicated to the cherished memory of late Smt Rajeshwari Paul, whose values continue to inspire the Apeejay Education fraternity. 

The three-day sporting event, held, witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of Classes I to V, representing various sister schools of Apeejay Education. The tournament provided young learners with a vibrant platform to showcase their sporting skills while imbuing the spirit of discipline and perseverance.   

The inaugural ceremony commenced on an auspicious note with deep prajwalan and the offering of floral tributes as a mark of reverence to Smt Rajeshwari Paulji. The serene chanting of mantras by the school choir created a solemn yet inspiring atmosphere, symbolising positive beginnings. This was followed by the ribbon-cutting ceremony, formally declaring the tournament open.  

Throughout the matches, the young participants exhibited remarkable energy, determination, and sportsmanship. The courts resonated with cheers and encouragement as students competed with enthusiasm while respecting the values of fair play and teamwork. The tournament promises to be a celebration of healthy competition, camaraderie, and mutual respect. 

Such Inter-school sports tournaments play a vital role in a child’s overall development. They help enhance physical fitness, improve concentration, and build self-confidence from an early age. Moreover, participating in competitive sports teaches students valuable life skills such as teamwork, resilience, time management, and the ability to gracefully accept both victory and defeat. Events like these also foster bonding among students from different schools, promoting unity and a sense of belonging within the larger Apeejay family.
