“My kid wants to go to school even on Sundays”

At Apeejay Rhythms Kinderworld, Model Town, Jalandhar, the early learning experience is not only about alphabets and numbers – it’s about nurturing confidence, curiosity, and a love for school. Ms Manpreet Kaur, mother of UKG student Nirvan Vij, shares how her once-shy child has blossomed into an enthusiastic learner, all thanks to the warm and engaging environment created by the school’s dedicated teachers. Her elder son is also a proud Apeejay School, Model Town student and currently serves as the Wise Head Boy of Class 5.

How has Nirvan grown since joining Apeejay Rhythms Kinderworld?

When he started, Nirvan was a very shy child. But over time, I’ve seen a major improvement in his confidence, speaking, and reading skills. His teachers have played a big role in this transformation. They’re very cooperative and always available to help. Even if I message his class teacher at 9 pm, I get an immediate reply!

What was his transition like during the initial days?

Honestly, that credit goes completely to the teachers, especially his incharge ma’am. She was extremely friendly with the kids, and that helped Nirvan settle down quickly. It was their warmth and way of interacting with him that brought him out of his shell.

What kind of learning activities does Nirvan enjoy the most?

He absolutely loves outdoor activities! Whether it’s counting, reading, or learning through play, he prefers doing everything outdoors. That hands-on approach really excites him.

How would you describe your experience communicating with the school staff?

It’s been excellent. All the teachers, staff, and even the helping hands are incredibly supportive. Whether I visit the school or call from home, they are always ready to assist.

How does Nirvan feel about school?

He’s crazy about it! Even on Sundays, he asks, “Why isn’t there school today?” During summer vacations, he kept asking me when school would start again. He never says no to going to school.

Does he talk about his friends and teachers at home?

Yes, all the time! Recently, he told me how happy he was to see his class teacher back and proudly showed me a Spiderman sticker she gave him for his work. He also talks about his group of three-four close friends; they share lunch, do activities, and enjoy their time together.

Have you attended any orientation sessions at the school?

I haven’t needed to, because my elder son is also studying here. I’m already very familiar with the school’s curriculum and academic standards, and I’m truly satisfied with both my children’s growth.
