Schools support junior students by creating a nurturing and engaging environment that makes learning fun and meaningful. “Teachers here use interactive methods like storytelling,
play-based learning, music, and hands-on activities to help children grasp basic concepts such as numbers, alphabets, colours, and shapes. They also focus on developing essential life skills like communication, sharing, and following instructions,” shares Kartik Girdhar whose son Heyansh studies in KG at Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park.
Read on to know how activities like drawing, rhymes, and group play enhance creativity and social interaction.
How are teachers supporting you child?
We truly appreciate the role that the teachers are playing in our child’s early development. They are very patient, caring, and attentive to each child’s individual needs. The teachers use creative teaching methods, interactive storytelling, and play-based learning, which keep the children engaged and excited to come to school. We’ve also noticed that they encourage good habits, sharing, and social interaction. Their regular feedback helps us understand our child’s progress, and they are always approachable if we have any concerns.
What has he learnt so far?
He has picked up basic concepts like alphabets, numbers, colours, and shapes. He also enjoys rhymes and storytelling sessions, and often tries to repeat songs and stories at home. We’ve seen noticeable improvement in his vocabulary, communication skills, and the ability to follow simple instructions. He has also learned essential habits like washing hands, saying “please” and “thank you,” and sharing with others. Socially, he has become more confident and enjoys group activities.

Which infrastructure facilities are impressive?
The classrooms are bright, well-ventilated, and thoughtfully designed to create a safe and engaging environment for young children. The presence of age-appropriate furniture, colourful learning aids, and visual displays makes the learning space very inviting. The school’s dedicated play area, with safe outdoor equipment, allows children to enjoy physical activities, which are so important at this stage. We also appreciate the well-maintained hygiene facilities and the overall cleanliness of the campus.
How are the school safety protocols here?
We are quite satisfied with the school’s safety measures. The school maintains a secure and child-focused environment. From the moment the children enter the school, they are under constant supervision. There are security guards at the gates, proper ID checks, and restricted entry for outsiders, which ensures only authorised individuals are allowed in.

Why did you choose Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park?
We chose Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park because of its strong reputation for academic excellence combined with a focus on values, creativity, and overall development. The school’s philosophy of nurturing young minds in a caring and disciplined environment aligns with what we want for our child. We also appreciate the emphasis on co-curricular activities and communication skills from an early age.
How is the parent-teacher interaction?
The parent-teacher interaction has been very positive and transparent. The teachers are approachable, understanding, and open to feedback. They keep us regularly informed about our child’s progress—both academic and behavioural—through scheduled meetings, communication in the school diary, and even informal conversations when needed. We really value how the teachers take the time to understand each child individually and involve parents in the learning process.
