In today’s fast-paced academic and professional environment, moments of inner stillness can feel rare—but at Apeejay School of Management (ASM) and Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication (AIMC), International Yoga Day served as a timely reminder that balance is not a luxury, but a necessity.
Held in the campus auditorium, the yoga session led by renowned yoga expert Shri Acharya Anil Mudgal offered a deep and revitalising experience for faculty, staff, and students alike. From mindful breathing to foundational asanas like Padmasana, Sukhasana, Tadasana, Bhujangasana, and Shavasana, the
session focused not only on flexibility and posture—but also on mental clarity and emotional calm. The initiative was designed not just as a one-day wellness event, but as a step towards integrating yoga into the academic mission of self-development and conscious leadership.
Many participants found the session not only refreshing, but personally Transformative. “The session with Acharya-ji was wonderful! He truly helped me understand that yoga needs to be sahaj (natural/effortless). He patiently addressed the health concerns of faculty and staff, offering yoga-based solutions. I am now
inspired to learn yoga for a healthier life,” shared Dr. Shweta Jha, Associate Professor, ASM
Adding further Prof. Nupur Soti, Assistant Professor, ASM highlighted, “Had a refreshing experience participating in the International Yoga Day session at Apeejay Dwarka. The guided yoga and meditation by Shri Acharya Anil Mudgal brought a deep sense of calm and inner peace.”

Reflecting similar thoughts, staff members echoed how yoga practice fosters balance and encouragement. “As part of the programme office, I’m constantly juggling schedules. Just a few minutes of breathwork during the session helped me reset completely. I now feel encouraged to include yoga in my daily routine,” said Ms. Jitender Kaur, Programme Office.
“Being in accounts, the job often involves long hours at a desk. The simple yoga stretches helped ease tension in my shoulders and back. It felt surprisingly refreshing,” shared Mr. Sunil Kumar from the Accounts Department.
The session ended not just with calm minds, but with a collective pledge—faculty and staff committed to embracing yoga as a regular part of life, seeing it as a tool for stress management, enhanced focus, and holistic well-being. In a world that often measures productivity in speed, this celebration of stillness
reminded the Apeejay community that true progress happens when we’re grounded—body, mind, and mission aligned.
