Apeejay School, Pitampura organises ‘Beat the Heat’ distribution drive
Students distributed towels, and water bottles to rickshaw pullers, tempo drivers, and other workers.
The Interact Club of Apeejay School, Pitampura, recently organised a heartfelt distribution drive titled ‘Beat the Heat’. This initiative aimed at supporting outdoor workers battling the intense summer heat.
As part of the initiative, students distributed angochas (cotton towels), and water bottles to rickshaw pullers, tempo drivers, and other workers who spend long hours labouring under the scorching sun. The drive was designed to offer these workers some much-needed relief from the soaring temperatures. The drive also spread awareness about the importance of staying hydrated and protected during extreme heat conditions.
The enthusiastic participation of the students ensured the initiative was warmly received by the beneficiaries. These steps of the club members brought smiles to the faces of many who are often overlooked despite their essential contributions to daily city life. For the Apeejay learners, the drive served as a valuable reminder that even small acts of kindness can create a meaningful and lasting difference in the lives of others.
