As these Class VIII-D toppers from Apeejay School, Noida, step into the more demanding realm of Class IX, they carry with them a legacy of hard work, unwavering determination, and a disciplined study routine. Their consistent efforts and focused mindset have not only earned them academic excellence but also immense pride from their parents and teachers.

Meet Alisha Kapoor, Aryanshi Sinha and Ayush Mishra, who have scored 97.8, 96.8% and 95.8% respectively in their final exams. Speaking about her preparation strategy, Alisha shared, “For me, the exam preparation begins during school hours. Attending every lesson and paying attention to what my teachers are teaching has always been my key strategy. At home, I study effectively for two hours every day while pursuing basketball in the evening. On weekends, I make a list of my doubts as well as a subject-wise schedule for the next week.”

Similarly, Aryanshi laid down her structured plan of study that helped her prepare well for exams. “I regularly studied for three hours to complete the syllabus. I was always attentive in class and cleared all doubts in class itself. Revision daily of the topics covered in class on that day and topics to be covered the next day was part of my active learning methods,” she said.

Ayush said that for any exam or test, he applies the Pomodoro technique, where he studies with full focus for 25 to 30 minutes and then takes a short 5-minute break to relax. “I typically create my timetable three weeks before the exams. I aim to finish the difficult subjects first and review them just before the exam, so I remember them well. I think during the exams, five hours of study is necessary, but I also include breaks and some time for fun to stay refreshed and avoid burnout,” he added.

On a final note, each one shared their ambitions. Alisha aspires to help those who are often overlooked and to work towards the betterment of the degrading environment. Aryanshi wants to become a space scientist, and Ayush plans to become an architect. As they gear up for the next academic challenge, these young achievers are all set to raise the bar even higher, inspiring their peers and making their school community proud.
