Apeejay School, Saket, reaffirmed its commitment to continuous professional development by organising an insightful and thought-provoking workshop on Classroom Management and Student Motivation. The session, held under the school’s Capacity Building Programme, was designed to equip educators with innovative strategies to foster a dynamic, structured, and engaging learning environment. The workshop served as a valuable platform for educators to refine their teaching techniques and explore new methodologies to enhance student engagement and discipline.

The workshop was led by the distinguished Mr. R. Shiva Kumar, Director of the Board of Directors at CL Media and Chief Academic Officer at CL Group. With his vast experience in the education sector, Mr. Shiva Kumar shared valuable insights on creating a structured and student-centric classroom atmosphere that promotes both academic excellence and holistic development. He highlighted the significance of Quality Circle Time (QCT), a technique that encourages open dialogue and mutual respect among students and teachers, fostering a sense of belonging and responsibility within the classroom.

During the highly interactive session, Mr. Shiva Kumar delved into various teaching styles and their impact on student engagement. Educators were introduced to practical tools and methodologies for managing classroom behavior effectively, including strategies to address behavioral challenges, establish a positive learning environment, and inspire students to take ownership of their academic journey. The discussion also highlighted the importance of understanding student psychology, recognising individual learning needs, and fostering a culture of curiosity, creativity, and collaboration.

One of the most impactful moments of the workshop was a self-awareness activity that focused on enhancing teacher-student relationships to improve academic outcomes. This reflective exercise encouraged educators to analyse their teaching approaches, understand their interactions with students, and develop new strategies to create an inclusive, supportive, and motivating classroom environment. By engaging in self-reflection, teachers gained a deeper understanding of how their attitudes and teaching methodologies influence students’ learning experiences and overall academic success.

Through initiatives like these, Apeejay School, Saket, continues to empower its educators with the knowledge and tools necessary to shape young minds effectively, reinforcing its dedication to holistic education and academic excellence. By consistently providing professional development opportunities, the school ensures that its faculty remains at the forefront of educational innovation, ultimately benefiting students and contributing to their long-term academic and personal growth.
