Interact Club of Apeejay Svran Global School, Faridabad, undertakes a meaningful community outreach initiative
The Interact Club of Apeejay Svran Global School, Faridabad, Sector 21 D undertook a meaningful community outreach initiative at the Prakashdeep Free Education Centre and the anganwadi near Ankheer Chowk. The visit provided students with an opportunity to connect with the community, extend support to children, and promote the values of compassion, dignity and service.
As part of the initiative, educational kits containing notebooks and stationery were distributed among children to support their learning journey. The thoughtful gesture was aimed at encouraging them to remain engaged with education, nurture their aspirations and continue working towards their dreams.
The initiative also focused on promoting awareness about personal care and menstrual hygiene among young girls. Wellness kits were distributed to grown-up girls, helping create greater awareness about menstrual health, hygiene, and the importance of maintaining personal dignity and well-being.
For the students, the interaction went beyond simply distributing essential items. Spending time with the children, listening to their experiences, and sharing moments of happiness helped them understand the importance of empathy and meaningful community engagement. The smiles and enthusiasm of the children made the experience especially memorable for the students.
The outreach initiative reinforced an important lesson: Service is not merely about giving material support; it is about caring, connecting and making people feel valued. Through their interactions, the students experienced how small gestures of kindness can bring encouragement and hope to others.
The school expressed its heartfelt gratitude to the Rotary Club of Delhi Premier for providing the educational and wellness kits and enabling the students to participate in this meaningful initiative.
Through such community-focused endeavours, the Interact Club continues to uphold the spirit of Service Above Self. The initiative reflects the school’s commitment to nurturing responsible, compassionate and socially conscious learners who understand that positive change can begin with something as simple as a helping hand, a caring gesture, or a thoughtful act of kindness.
