The festival of Christmas is synonymous with the spirit of fun and frolic. It is a blessed day when people come together to share their joys with one another. In line with the festive spirit, Apeejay Noida primary department students (classes 1-5) celebrated Christmas in the school premises on December 23.
The celebrations began with an informative talk on the historical importance of celebrating Christmas. It was followed by vibrant dance performances to the tune of popular Christmas songs. However, the show-stopper event was the melodious Christmas carols sung by students. It rekindled the festive fervour in the audience and left them spellbound.
To embody the festive gaiety, all students were dressed in shades of red, white and green along with a red cap. The celebration instilled the values of exchanging good wishes and a spirit of family bonding and spreading happiness all around.
The programme culminated with the singing of some more Christmas carols which are symbolic of hope, happiness and wish for a prosperous new year for all. The students were fascinated to witness their own ‘Santa Claus’ among them and enjoyed dancing with him. The spontaneous dance performance of the students was appreciated a lot by Vice Principal, Mrs. Amrita Hajela and Primary teacher in-charge, Mrs. Smriti Samuel. Together they wished merry Christmas to all the students.
Principal, Mr. AK Sharma, addressed the students and said, “There has to be at least one day of the year which reminds us that we are here for something else besides our own selves. We must believe in ourselves and be our own Santa Claus”.
The celebrations concluded with all the students wishing the teachers a Merry Christmas.
