Clay, music and prayer mark Ganesh Chaturthi celebration
Students of Apeejay School, Tanda Road, celebrate faith and creativity with joy and devotion
Young learners at Apeejay School, Tanda Road, marked Ganesh Chaturthi through prayer, creative activities and shared moments of celebration. Students from Pre-nursery to Class II took part with devotion and enthusiasm. The programme brought together spirituality, learning and age-appropriate activities in a warm festive setting.
Lord Ganesh was lovingly sthapit as the children gathered for the occasion. This was followed by a soulful aarti. The students sought His blessings for happiness, wisdom and prosperity.
A prayerful beginning
The prayer introduced the spiritual meaning of the celebration in a simple manner that young children could understand. Their participation gave them an opportunity to experience a religious tradition within the familiar surroundings of their school.
The celebration continued with music, movement and art. The little ones danced joyfully to festive songs, adding energy to the occasion. They also made Ganesh idols with clay.
Creativity finds expression
Working with clay allowed the children to engage closely with the central figure of the festival. The activity combined imagination with hands-on learning. Each child could shape the clay and take part in the celebration through personal creative effort.
The students also watched a Ganesh movie as part of the programme. It offered another simple and engaging way for them to connect with the festival. Later, the children received prasad and enjoyed the moment together.
Festive moments shared
Their festive tiffin added further warmth to the day. Sharing food alongside prayer and creative activities made the celebration enjoyable for the young learners.
The programme blended devotion, creativity, learning and fun. From attending the aarti and dancing to making clay idols, watching the movie and receiving prasad, the children remained involved throughout.
