Creativity and life skills take centre stage
Bagless Day at Apeejay School, Kharghar, brings new experiences to life, taking learning beyond the classroom
Learning can become more meaningful when students are given the freedom to explore, create and work together. With this idea at its heart, Apeejay School, Kharghar, organised a Bagless Day for students of Classes VI and III.
The day moved learning beyond textbooks and brought students closer to practical experiences. It gave them space to think independently, express themselves and learn through active participation. The cheerful setting also allowed them to enjoy the process without the usual classroom routine.
Building skills through experience
For the students of Class VI, the day was thoughtfully planned around Kaushal Boudh. The activities encouraged creativity, teamwork, critical thinking and important life skills. Instead of simply receiving information, students became active participants in their learning.
Each activity offered them an opportunity to collaborate, exchange ideas and approach tasks with curiosity. Working together also helped them understand the value of listening to others, sharing responsibility and finding solutions as a group.
Small activities, lasting memories
Class III students also enjoyed a fun-filled day beyond their regular lessons. The activities focused on wellness, healthy choices, creativity, self-awareness, independence and teamwork.
Through these experiences, the young learners explored ideas that are closely connected with everyday life. They had the chance to understand themselves better, make choices and complete tasks with greater independence. At the same time, group activities helped them appreciate cooperation and shared effort.
A joyful learning experience
Bagless Day showed that valuable learning does not always require notebooks or textbooks. Simple, well-planned experiences can help children develop practical abilities while making the school day enjoyable.
For both classes, the occasion brought together learning, laughter and creativity. It also created beautiful memories for the students. More importantly, it helped them see learning as something they could experience, practise and enjoy together.
