Apeejay family remembers Smt Rajeshwari Paul on her 100th birth anniversary

Apeejay Institute of Technology – School of Architecture & Planning (AIT-SAP) organised a heartfelt function to commemorate the 100th birth anniversary of Smt. Rajeshwari Paul, the wife of Late Dr Stya Paul, Founder Chairman , Apeejay Stya Group & Apeejay Education. The event, which took place on the college campus, was a tribute to her profound love for the arts and her lasting impact on education.

The ceremony began with the lamp lighting ceremony, followed by a floral tribute to the portrait of Mrs. Rajeshwari Paul, honouring her legacy and immense contributions. This was followed by the playing of her favourite bhajans, creating a soulful and reflective ambiance.

The tribute was offered by Prof. Vivek Sabherwal, Director of AIT-SAP accompanied by other faculty members and students.  Their gesture was a testament to the high regard in which Smt. Paul is held within the Apeejay community. 

In her honour, a series of cultural activities were organised, reflecting her enduring legacy. First-year students of the institute performed a captivating dance, adding vibrancy and joy to the occasion. Their enthusiasm and talent were truly commendable. Smt. Rajeshwari Paul was a pioneering figure who believed in the transformative power of the arts. Her vision to include art in education aimed at fostering creativity and comprehensive growth among students. 

The event concluded on a communal note with the distribution of refreshments to all attendees, including students, staff, and faculty. This gesture fostered a sense of community and togetherness, reinforcing the values that Smt. Rajeshwari Paul cherished and promoted throughout her life.
