All about this father’s day!

Father’s Day is celebrated in the third week of June every year. This year in 2024, in India it is being celebrated on 16^th June 2024. This day is celebrated to acknowledge the importance and contributions made by a father in the lives of children. In most of the countries, it is a holiday on Father’s Day.  Children get to spend quality time with their fathers, present them with gifts, plan excursions, etc.

My father’s name is Mr Tarun Garg. I feel I am the luckiest boy to have him as my father. My father is a real hero. This time for Father’s day I have planned a few surprises and gifts that I will give to him. We will also go out for lunch to a place which will be his favourite.

My father always helps and protects me. He gives me advice that I always follow. I love the way he convinces me to do what is right and best for me. He is also a coach to me. He trains me how to play soccer.

Not only this, my father is a good chef. He cooks delicious food for me. He is very creative and gives me all the fun in life. He buys toys, books, and clothes for me. He organises trips for me and takes me out on holidays and vacations. When he goes visits abroad, he always gets games and exciting things for me to make up for the time we have not been able to spend together.

I play a lot of indoor and outdoor games with him. While playing games, he also teaches me team spirit and sportsmanship. Indoor games that we play include chess, carom board, codenames, and FIFA. In outdoor games, apart from soccer I also play cricket with my father. My father has taught me to be honest and hardworking in life. Along with studies and academics, he lays importance on my overall development and growth. He has encouraged me to learn guitar. He is my role model and a real hero. I want to follow the advices given by him and to make him proud of me.

My father is very special to me and I love him a lot. Father’s Day is also a very special day for me. I begin the day by writing a card/ letter to my father to express my gratitude and love for him. This day I try my best to make him feel special and to honor him for the special role he plays in my life.
