The programme commenced with an invocation dance, dedicated to Indian spiritual values of spreading peace and harmony in the world. Every year on the occasion of Republic Day, the school honours the parents of the student-achievers, who have shown excellent performance in the academics, sports and co-curriculars.

The Principal felicitated the parents and welcomed them with a bouquet of flowers. In his address, the school Principal mentioned, “We should always remember the countless sacrifices made by the great freedom fighters. Communal harmony is the hallmark of our nation and it has to be maintained.”

He further enlightened the audience saying, “‘We the people of India’, written in the beginning of the preamble of our Constitution, holds the basic spirit and the essence of our democratic country. Students, we all must work hard with honesty to make this nation great in every aspect.”

To highlight the importance of the constitution and the relevance of the day, the young and enthusiastic student orators spoke about the significance of the Republic Day in English, Hindi, Marathi and Sanskrit. This iconic linguistic act was followed by the school choir entertaining the audience with the melodious rendition of some patriotic songs.
