‘Garland of Jasmine on his Gori’s hair’: Poem by Jasnoor Kaur, Apeejay School, Tanda Road, Jalandhar

In the evening,
When the sun is setting down.
Krishna picks his flute and puts it on his lips.
Radha, who is sitting in front of him, looks at him,
With eyes in which a surma of black colour is.
Done with his flute he goes behind her,
He opens her braid,
She looks at him with shocked eyes.
He makes her do her hair in a braid.
He picks something wrapped in a banana leaf.
That was a beautiful Gajra,
Made with Jasmines .
He puts it on her hair.
Telling her ,
“You are the most beautiful girl I have ever seen, Radhe, my gori.”
