‘Left the road’: Poem by Saurabh Mishra, Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park

I’ve left the path, from which you passed by,
That handshake, that smile, that voice
I’m imagining you, but I also remember those words,
Which came from you, but I’m still there,
Hey please stop in the streets, where your name is chanted.
I was a traveler of your world, but I was lost,
I need your help, in the world of dreams.
I’m upset by your cursed lines, but I’m ready to accept.
I’ve not got anything on this journey.
Whenever I see the moon, this makes me feel that you are there.
Whenever I see a shadow, I get the wrong frame.
I want to say, if I die someday,
Please don’t forget me,
Because if I’m there in your heart, the heart beats,
But if I’m not there, it won’t.
It’s my last day in your world, and I want to tell you something,
Your smile makes my day, and I want to make your day!
Now I’m leaving the path and going back to my own world.
Thank you! Bye!
