Young Talent: ‘I want to become a top-notch neurologist in India’

The student at Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg believes he has an indomitable spirit to keep going

one should never stop learning since there is no limit to learning ever, is the statement that totally resonates with this young prodigy. Meet Shiv Nanak Singh who is now promoted to class V at Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg. “I prepared for my exams by following a rigid and a systematic timetable. By solving the question answers given by my teachers as homework helped me to clear my concepts extensively. Anila ma’am is my favourite, she teaches us English,” explained Shiv.

“I always believe in first learning the hardest part of the subject and then eventually the easier part becomes like a cakewalk,” he further added. He also shares that Math and Science are his favourite subjects. “Science opens up newer avenues. I like to gather knowledge about the human body and different organisms around us. Math allows me to play with numbers and I love it when I get the correct answer,” said the 9-year-old.

An ardent fan of movies made on real life characters, Shiv calls Mary Kom as his favourite Hindi movie. “Biopics made on real life people inspire me the most. I am also a voracious reader, Enid Blyton and Roald Dahl are two of my dearest authors,” shared the Secret Seven and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory fan.

Shiv also has his heart into activities like swimming and playing a keyboard. “I have mastered the Final Countdown tune on the keyboard and I often play it for my family and friends,” Shiv shared.

He aspires to become a doctor. “I belong to a family of doctors; my mother is one. I often watch how unconditionally she keeps serving by providing medical treatment to patients. It’s such a noble deed. I want to become a top-notch neurologist in India,” Shiv concluded.
